The Children's Museum of Northeast Montana is a non-profit 501c3 organization as a subsidiary of Two Rivers Economic Growth, Inc.
The Museum began as a dream for local parents as they were searching for a fun, indoor safe place to take their children. The group created a Board, collaborated ideas, created a plan and began to fundraise. A year and 3 months later in March of 2006, the Children's Museum of Northeast Montana opened it's doors to the public.
Our organization's mission:
"The Children's Museum of Northeast Montana will provide an environment that stimulates exploration, creativity and discovery and empowers children with knowledge through fun, hands-on experiences. Children and their families will be immersed in an atmosphere that encompasses the creative arts, science and culture."
Our Museum is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. The Board's responsibilities are to ensure that the Museum operates according to it's mission statement and continues to move in a positive direction. Currently, the Museum has eight Board members that meet on a monthly basis:
